Let There Be Light

What's Christmas without a single ampoule. An ampoule led will surely make a brighter illumination. And I heard that achat ampoule is the best. Well, dear readers, I am talking about lights and lighting. We all know that decorating during Christmas entails lighting, and lights play a magical effect, don't you agree?

So anyway, as we were passing by Orchard, we saw how wonderful the lights were. They were fairy tale like. Amazing.. I wish there would be lights in our home too.

Off with the Toxins

Don't be shocked as to what these pads are from my feet. It so happened that my sister and I bought pads for detox at the Chinese medical clinic in Admiralty, and used it on our feet. The stained pads you see here are the results of an overnight detoxification..
We bought the product below, which is actually a good product from Japan..
This is how we placed each pad on each our foot.. This is after we have taken a bath and are sure we are no longer going out of bed..

My 2nd week in Singapore

Monday : We went to CMIS to take the exam and do the mock interview. It turn out fine since it was just brief and easy. We had to back to house after we ate at the all Filipino food since we moved out from the condominium in Ceylon Road to the apartment in Woodlands. We fixed our things up and get ourselves adjusted in our new home.

Tuesday: We didn't go out for job hunting instead we called out the numbers on the news papers for job interest, sad to know though that most of them are looking for Singaporeans/PR/Malaysians. We went out for a stroll in the community and we found out that there is a space for exercise sessions where they provide the exercising area for free of use to anyone. We gave it a shot and intended to do it everyday.

Wednesday: We went for an interview at Mindlinks in serangoon, where we took and 30 minutes ride to Bishan and went to the Yellow lane interchange and took the other mrt lane. We asked and Indian how to go there but he didn't provide a clear detail so we asked a Singaporean, she was very friendly and even informed us that we shall go with her instead. When we get there, the interview was just easy but we were asked to pay S$100 for the EPASS to be processed and no assurance that it will be granted. The company will not provide us with basic salary instead it will be commissioned-based. So we instead informed the person-in-charge that we will just come back for it. We explored around serangoon area,we found a catholic church and a crocodile farm which is kinda eerie. We also tried Indian/Malay food at seven stars. Then we went back home because the sky is beginning to be gloomy and it seemed it will rain.

Thursday: We went to Teleperformance in Tae Seng. Took the same Mrt lane dropping off at Bishan and took the yellow lane MRT off to Tae Seng. We just walked from the Exit A to the Natural Cool Lifestyle Hub. The interview was easy as well but they will just be calling short listed applicants. At 2:45PM we had an orientation schedule, it was for the Herbal Life company, we were informed on how to go about our diet and all. It was in Bugis Village so we had the chance as well to go around the vicinity. We tried their food. When we needed to go home, instead of going home to Woodlands, we went to Ceylon Road and we also took a dip in the pool.

Friday: Not quite a busy day, will be going back home to woodlands in a while...

My 1st week in Singapore

My cousins, Princess, Precious, King and Kyna Dy are also here in Singapore. Good for them they are here for purely leisure. While me and my sister are here for job hunting. Our 1st day of the hunt, we went to our uncle's agency, printed and submitted our resume for them to help us look for a job as well. We took a short walk around Orchard Blvd to see the big city's shopping district only to find out we cannot find the subway...so we had to go back to my uncle's office to ask. My 2nd day was awful yet exciting, I had stomachache due to their water. They said that their tap water is clean...that is only to those who got used to it. The exciting part though is that we went out to the park for barbecue and met up with our other cousins, they're quite a shy and silent types though so never had the chance to talk about a lot of things, in other words its a one answer to your question moment. But i enjoyed the barbecue, the bike ride an the park itself. Take note, their community park has no mosquitoes around or I was never bitten by one and to think I am prone to being bitten by mosquitoes. My 3rd day was exhausting so it was purely rest. My 1st Sunday here in Singapore is funny because I can't remember the church that I went to way back in 2006, we had to look for one for us to hear mass. We went to Saint Andrews, seeing that there is a Filipino Service scheduled at 2PM, late to realized that it was not a mass but only a typical Community Service when we were already there. So since we were not comfortable being there, we went out and look for a church that is not ecclesiastical but catholic. From Saint Andrews, we walked all the way to Raffles City and to Bugis Village. It took us an hour to find a church in St. Joseph, good thing their mass is yet to start at 5PM. whew!

I will be posting other details of my trips especially this Singapore trip on my other blog page mga suroy-suroy or in english translation...my travels.

the arrival

I arrived in Singapore at around 8:55 tonight. I waited for my uncle and sister to fetch me at the Changi Airport. But my uncle arrived alone and late. He has forgotten all about my arrival because he is a really busy businessman here in Singapore. The 1st funny experience is on our way out to his car. We were running as fast as we could because my uncle is afraid he might get a ticket for illegal parking and it will cost him S$200 to get his license back. He was not on hazard because of course he left the car to find me. Good thing the police wasn't able to get to us.
